Boston, MA – The Mekane Hiwot St. Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church has been
conducting an inspirational Career Journey event aimed at both the spiritual and professional
empowerment of the youth. Initiated a few months ago, this event continues to offer invaluable
sessions every month on Sunday, right after the divine liturgy, in the lower part of the church
building.
The Career Journey event is committed to providing basic and detailed information about higher
education institutions, such as colleges and universities, and sharing spiritual experiences
encountered during educational pursuits. Serving as a beacon for young individuals navigating their
educational journeys, the event features guest speakers who share their diverse experiences,
mainly how they managed their spiritual and professional lives simultaneously.
Organized primarily by the Church’s Sunday school department, Anqetse Tewhido, the program has
garnered significant interest from parents who are eager for its continuation. Department members
highlighted the importance of such initiatives, affirming that these events will persist as long as
conditions allow, ensuring the younger generation has a clear and successful path to their future.
